the wedding aniversary

A customer brought in a few photographs taken at a wedding aniversary party. She wanted them in a single frame with a moulding that would match her furniture. We discussed various layouts and ways in which the photographs could be displayed to their best advantage. This meant scanning some of the photographs and reprinting them so that they matched in scale – notice the very different sizes of the people in the bottom row of photos.

One of the photos had a lot a flare where the flash had reflected from a window. A little quick work in Photoshop removed the flare and the photo was cropped to remove the unnecessary surroundings. A couple of the other photographs were resized to produce the layout shown below. The window mount has been printed with the date of the anniversary and the oak frame has been stained and polished with beeswax to match the customer’s furniture.

A few photographs can now form a lasting memory of that special occasion.
